Confidence in Coordination: Enhancing veterinary readiness for bigger than usual unplanned events e.g. biosecurity incursions, pharmaceutical shortages, cyber attacks.
In 2014 the New Zealand Government set expectation across all organisations (government, NGO’s, industry) involved in New Zealand's emergency response system, to use CIMS as the management framework for all emergency response.
This course will allow participants to
understand the framework and to decide if they want to participate in response
to unplanned events. CIMS is the tool
utilised by the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) when responding to a biosecurity incursion.
