  The two workshops will take place simultaneously across two sessions. Delegates are encouraged to attend both workshops.

Avian anesthesia 

Join James Chatterton for an interactive workshop on avian analgesia and anaesthesia.

James will cater for those with minimal avian experience through to experienced vets.

No previous experience is required to attend this workshop.

James Chatterton

Originally from Cheffield in Northern England, James is the manager of Veterinary Services at Auckland Zoo. He is European Board certified in Veterinary Zoo Health and Medicine and has over 15 years of clinical experience with zoo and wildlife species.

Avian imaging 

Join Emily for a workshop on imaging techniques and interpretation of wildlife. 

No previous experience is required to attend this workshop.

Speaker

Emily Short

Emily graduated from Massey University with a BVSc in 2017. After initially working in small animal practice, she completed a diagnostic imaging residency with NZRadVet and became a certified Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2024. Emily is based in Auckland and is proficient in avian diagnostic imaging and interpretation.
