We are excited to announce Te Anau as the location for this year’s wildlife conference.

Local talks will focus on conservation issues in the Fiordland Region, and there will be the usual great range of member talks. There will also be two field trip options and workshops (details to follow). We look forward to seeing you there!

The picturesque township of Te Anau is the main visitor base for the glacier-carved wilderness that is Fiordland National Park. Home to a wide range of accommodation and restaurant options, Te Anau is the perfect place to stay when visiting Milford Sound as well as the Milford, Routeburn and Kepler tracks. Apart from hiking, popular local activities include scenic flights, lake cruising, fishing, kayaking and exploring the Te Anau Glowworm Caves. There’s also a bird sanctuary with excellent native bird displays including Takahe.
