We are excited to be bringing you the Wellbeing and Business Symposiums.

Wellbeing Symposium

Tuesday 8 November (8am - 5.30pm) and Wednesday 9 November (8am - 1pm: includes lunch)

Veterinary Wellbeing is essential for the entire team and is receiving more attention and research than ever before. Working in the veterinary profession can be enormously varied, enjoyable, and extremely fulfilling. However, it comes with many challenges and pressures (which have been intensified by COVID-19) that can lead to stress, poor wellbeing, mental health issues, depression, burnout, and compassion fatigue.

This important one-and-a-half-day symposium aims to promote wellbeing in veterinary teams at both an individual and organisational level. The program is packed with both New Zealand and international speakers who will provide valuable insights with a focus on positive action to build individual and team wellbeing and resilience. This will be an excellent opportunity for veterinary teams to improve their knowledge and awareness of mental health and wellbeing, share information, advice and strategies that prioritise wellbeing and normalise talking about mental health in the workplace.

The Wellbeing Symposium will provide an interactive space where people can share their experiences, make connections, and build on what they are already doing with takeaways that lead to positive tangible changes in their daily lives.

We hope to provide delegates with enthusiasm and tools to implement some practical positive wellbeing strategies into their workplace, professional and personal lives. This will hopefully lead to happier, healthier more effective veterinary teams, vital for the future success and sustainability of the veterinary profession.
