Abstract submission


During the submission process, you are required to include a file that meets the following:

  • Length: 1 page or 500 words
  • Font: Arial, size 11; Headings – bold; Text – regular
  • Headings for scientific papers: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, References
  • Headings for non-scientific papers: Introduction, Experience/Observations/Framework, Learnings
  • References: Citing in-text is not required, reference list is required
  • Spacing: Single
  • Tables or figures: Must fit on an A4 portrait page, can be on a second page.
Expectations 

A submission indicates you are available to present at at the NZVA and NZVNA conference between 28 - 30 June 2023.

For oral presentations

In the event your submission is accepted, you will be sent a speaker agreement.

Please be aware you:

  • are expected to provide deliverables including a short marketing summary and PowerPoint presentation
  • will receive complimentary registration for the day you are speaking
  • will be asked to fund your own travel
  • will not be entitled to a speaker fee
  • agree to have your abstract published in the conference proceedings and potentially the related Special Interest Branch publication.

For poster presentations

In the event your submission is accepted, you will be advised via email.

Please be aware you:

  • are expected to provide a A0 copy of your poster to display at the conference. You will be expected to bring this with you, and afix it in the Poster Presentation display area. 
  • will be required to pay your own registration
  • will be asked to fund your own travel
  • will not be entitled to a speaker fee
  • agree to have your abstract published in the conference proceedings and potentially the NZVNJ publication.
  • will not have your poster returned to you. If you wish to keep it, please take it with you at the end of the conference.
